Partner & family

Partner & Family visas for the Czech Republic

Two different routes bring a family together in the Czech Republic, and which one applies depends on the nationality of the person already here. We confirm which is yours, build the evidence file, and prepare you for the questions that get asked.

  • Embassy and MOI routes
  • Evidence file built for you
  • Interview preparation

Who qualifies?

Eligible relationships

Spouse, registered partner, dependent child, and in some cases dependent parents or relatives. Rules differ slightly for Czech and non-EU sponsors compared with EU sponsors.

What you must show

Real relationship evidence, a shared household and intent, valid housing in CZ, and financial support where the route requires it.

The two routes in detail

Route 1: Family reunification (Czech or non-EU sponsor)

Full embassy or MOI application prep, including a structured evidence file that anticipates common ministry objections.

  • Route selection & timing check
  • Relationship / dependency evidence checklist
  • Translations, notarizations, superlegalizations
  • Appointment strategy + interview preparation

Good fit if you:

  • Are married or registered partners
  • Have dependent children joining
  • Need embassy filing abroad

Not a fit if you:

  • Do not meet dependency rules
  • Cannot show real relationship evidence

Route 2: EU citizen family member TRP

MOI filing inside the Czech Republic to get your temporary residence card as an EU family member.

  • Eligibility screening (EU-movement conditions)
  • Prepare MOI TRP application pack
  • Housing, health insurance & dependency proofs
  • Biometrics appointment + pickup support

Typical applicants:

  • Non-EU spouse or partner of an EU citizen
  • Non-EU child joining an EU citizen parent
  • Non-EU dependent parent
