A combined work and residence permit for 3rd country nationals and it allows you to live and work here in the specific job for which the card was issued.

Blue or highly qualified employment or Intra for employees of multinational companies being transferred within the company to the Czech Republic.

Long-Term Visa Conversion to Temporary Residence

This allows people living in the Czech Republic with a long-term visa to transition into a 2-year residence permit in the same purpose.

This allows eligible family members of people already living in the Czech Republic to join them and reside together legally.

Long-Term Residence

If you have a long-term visa for 3+ months and want to extend your stay for purposes such as: Employment, Business, Study, Scientific research, Family reunification, Other specific purposes

Permanent Residence

This allows non-EU citizens to live in the country indefinitely with rights similar to Czech citizens, including access to the public healthcare system, education, and certain social benefits. It is also the final step before applying for Czech citizenship.

Czech Citizenship by Declaration is a fast-track method for acquiring citizenship for individuals who would have automatically been citizens at birth but were not registered due to historical or legal circumstances.

Frequently Asked Questions

Forms of payment are more limited in the EU. We accept international wire transfer, domestic transfer and CC. The CC has an additional 6.1% international fee that must be added on.
We are Visa Consultants. Unlike other countries these various processes are not handled in the courts.
If you already hold a long-term visa or residence permit for another purpose, Czech law allows you to apply for a change of purpose to employment.
It maybe easier to represent yourself in a lawsuit than successfully negotiating these processes, unless you speak and write Czech fluently, and have a foundation of each of the process and procedure. The numbers are not reported but we have reason to believe most self-filings do not get approved.
Value Added Tax is a consumption tax added to most goods and services. It is required to be paid by any person registered with an EU tax office.
Short answer is yes, but the answers vary depending on a variety of factors. We have many of the answers and our affiliate Tax experts can answer complex questions. Just ask.

Step 9 – Congratulations you have been Approved!

After your Czech citizenship by descent application is approved, you'll receive a certificate of citizenship and need to apply for a Czech birth certificate.

  1. The certificate of citizenship:
  • This certificate can be picked up in person at the consular office after an appointment. 
  1. Obtaining your physical passport:
  • You may need to schedule an additional appointment to obtain your Czech birth certificate. This will be required to request your passport. 
Step 8. Ready to request an interview appointment at the Czech Embassy

1. If you did not hire us to complete your filing we will ship your completed application packet to your home or business.

2. Upon receipt of your complete application packet, you can request an interview appointment at the Czech Embassy.

3. Bring your completed packet and passport.

4. At this Czech Embassy interview they will request a government fee for each applicant it varies by location. .

 Step 7 – We have received your documents.
  1. Upon receipt of your documents will make the arrangements to have the applicable documents notarized translated from their language of origin to Czech by a government authorized translator.
  2. We will create your declaration stating that you are not a Slovakian citizen.
  3. We will complete your Czech Application for Citizenship and any other family members applying.
  4. If you did not hire us to file on your behalf we will prepare your final invoice for notarized translations, certified copies, courier, and shipping. 

Reminder: The notarized translations because it is billed by page. It is 615 Kč per page for English/Germanic languages and 1320 Kč for all other languages. Certified copies, shipping, and courier cost will be invoiced at the end of the process.

Step 5 – You will begin gathering your Documents for final submission.

Treatment of Documents in order of preference:
Please obtain replacements/duplicates in this order of preference whenever possible...

* Keep in mind any document supplied at application will not be returned and doesn’t apply towards future/other applications. Get extras if anticipating that another family member will apply in the future.

**Apostille is a method of certifying a document for use in another country. For countries that are signatories to the Hague Convention, it is sufficient to legalize the documents with the corresponding Apostille.

***Czech documents do not require an apostille. Certified copies can legally be made here in Prague.

1. Obtain a duplicate of the original, it is effectively an additional original and have it apostilled, then we will have it notarized translated into Czech. If not possible, then... Go to #2

2. Have the original apostilled and then obtain a certified copy. We will have it notarized translated into Czech. If not possible, then... Go to #3

3. Obtain a certified copy of the original and have it apostilled. We will have it notarized translated into Czech.

4. Get enough copies for any/all of these documents for the additional family members to use as well.

Step 4 – Document analysis

Documents required if you are applying for a line of descendant from a parent:

  1. a landscape color copy your passport

  4. Proof showing that the parents have lost their Czech or Czechoslovakian citizenship

Documents required if you are applying for a line of descent from a grandparent:

How long does this process take?

The timeframe is reliant upon your initial document collection and the research of missing documentation. Please allow for ample opportunity for research, document preparation, and flexibility in case of unexpected challenges.

In general, the granting of the citizenship certificate takes around 3 to 6 months.

How much does it cost to obtain your complete application packet?

Our fees are $579 plus the cost we incur on your behalf for Czech notarized translations, certified copies, couriers and shipping. The cost of the notarized translations by a Czech official depends on the language and they charge per page. We will arrange for a courier to pick up your documents and deliver them to us in Prague. We offer a discounted price of $99 for each additional family member that is submitted at the same time as the original applicant. The Czech government fees are 500CZK per applicant to file in Prague.

How much does it cost to obtain your certificates?

Your citizenship application can be filed by you at your dedicated Embassy or we can file it directly via power of attorney at the office that handles Citizenship by Descent. This greatly reduces processing time and may save you one or two round trips to the Embassy. This allows us to process additional request that ultimately leads to you obtaining your physical passport. We will obtain your certificate of Czech citizenship, a Czech birth certificate and a Czech marriage certificate. Yes, you read that correctly, the Czech Republic will issue a Czech version of your birth and marriage certificates. These are required for your physical passport to be issued. We offer this additional service for $599. We offer a discounted price of $399 for each additional family member that is submitted at the same time as the original applicant. 

What is an apostille?

An apostille is a form of authentication that simplifies the process of legalizing public documents for use in other countries that are members of the 1961 Hague Convention Treaty. It certifies the authenticity of the signature, seal, and position of the official who executed, issued, or certified a public document, enabling it to be recognized as valid in another country.

How do I obtain missing documents in Czechia?

If you would like us to research and obtain missing documentation in the Czech Republic archives, we bill at 700CZK per hour. We do our best to minimize the hours billed, but the Czech archives are not nationalized and they are antiquated. Further information will be provided by request.   
 

Can I get a refund if I don’t qualify for citizenship? 

No, part of this process is determining if you actually qualify through documentation. Sometimes the documentation will disqualify a client or the ancestor. We will not issue refunds for not qualifying or quitting the process.

Step 2 – We have emailed your preliminary results for qualification. We have developed a step-by-step process to create a pathway for Citizenship by Descent. Here is what our services include:

1. Upon receipt of your emailed documents, we will begin our review process. We will produce a written analysis of what documents are missing, the condition of each document, and how each document must be “treated”. Treated is term that refers to Apostilling, Czech Notarized Translations by a Government authorized entity, and the type of duplication accepted.

2. You are responsible for all the document gathering and proper “treatment” of those documents. We handle the instructions and guidance, application, declarations and final packet for submission at the Embassy. 

3. We will make a final determination of eligibility and send you our written analysis results by email.

4. You will ship us the duplicate apostilled originals for notarized translation.

5. After receipt of your duplicate originals with Apostille, we have them notarized translated by a Czech Government authorized entity here in Prague.

6. We will create and provide your declaration.

7. We will complete your Czech Application for Citizenship.

8. We will pay for the international shipping for your completed document package.

9. The only additional cost you will incur is the shipping one way and the notarized translations because they are billed per page. It is $28 per page for English/Germanic languages and $54 for all other languages.

We can also obtain your documents issued by the Czech Republic or by Czechoslovakia using Powers of Attorney at 700CZK per/hr.
